Pushing the limits

WORK hard, party harder!

This was lived by the “Suntrustees” or Suntrust agents and sellers last August 18 as they celebrate the leading real-estate developer, Suntrust Properties Inc.’s second quarter performance at the WAV Entertainment Central, Ponciano St., Davao City.

Suntrust sales performance for its Davao project, One lakeshore Drive, reached a milestone as it breached some P1.5 Billion in sales for the second quarter, the highest recorded sales so far here.

“We are celebrating because there are a lot of reasons worth celebrating, first of all we reached P1.5 B quarter sales,” Jerry Rubis, first vice president for sales and marketing.

Suntrust regularly holds quarterly event for the recognition of Davao Suntrustees.

“This is very important because this is the climax of all their (Suntrustees) efforts. They want to be recognized with the awards, incentives [are also] given to them for being top [and] successful,” he added.

Rubis said on average, monthly sales of the property developer on their projects in Davao is usually at P200 million but during and after the Presidential elections their monthly sales went double folds.

When asked where they do attribute the huge leap of sales in their project, Rubis answered Davao's exposure as an investment hub was strengthened after its former long-time mayor Rodrigo Duterte was elected as President of the country.

"Davao is the center of a lot of investors now. The city is indeed in the investment map and big factor for that is President Duterte," he said.

He also emphasized aside from the Duterte fever, growing population, good business climate and peace and order, a lot of people would want to have a second home in Davao. It made Davao a converging point in Mindanao.

"Davao is becoming ripe in real estate," Rubis said.

He added one of the reasons why condominium projects are peaking up in the city was the scarcity of land in the city proper.
