2 eatery workers ‘abducted, raped’ after dawn robbery

TWO men on a motorcycle robbed an eatery in Barangay Pitogo, Consolacion yesterday dawn.

After they took P3,000, they abducted the two female attendants and brought them to a cemetery where the victims were allegedly raped, according to the Consolacion Police Station (CPS).

PO1 Cresenciano Saladaga of CPS said Rick Saladaga, 43, owner of the eatery, was the one who reported the incident to around 4 a.m. yesterday.

Rick said the two unidentified men came to his eatery, which is along the road, and posed as customers past 3 a.m.

“But then they declared a hold-up. They were able to rob the P3,000 cash of the eatery. The suspects were not contented and abducted the two helpers,” PO1 Saladaga said in Cebuano.

Tricycle fare

The victims are a 34-year-old single female from Barangay Jubay, Liloan and a 37-year-old married woman from Barangay Cansaga in Consolacion.

The robbers pointed a .38 revolver at the women.

PO1 Saladaga said after Rick reported the incident, police officers tried to find the culprits and the victims.

“The women were found in a cemetery in Barangay Tayud in Consolacion,” the police officer said.

The two women said the robbers raped them and them gave them P100 for their tricycle fare.

The CPS encouraged the two victims to visit the police station so they will get proper assistance.
