PNP fetes partners in programs, projects

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) honored on Monday its units, personnel, and partners in Central Luzon for their support in the police force's overall programs and projects.

No less than PNP Chief Ronald Dela Rosa and Police Regional Director PCSupt. Aaron Aquino led the awarding of plaques and streamers of recognition to the different officers and partner agencies.

Bulacan Police Provincial Office was named as Best Police Provincial Office, for having the most number of firearms accounted during the election period, and for having accounted the most number of loose firearms for calendar year 2015.

Angeles City Police Office was named Best City Police Office, Malolos Police Station as Best Component City Police Station, and Baliwag Police Station in Bulacan as Best Municipal Police Station.

Dela Rosa likewise presented special awards to offices and stations who garnered the highest number of anti-drugs operations conducted at certain levels.

They include Bulacan Police Provincial Office for neutralizing 73 persons of interest and arresting 325 drug pushers and Meycauayan City Police Station under the component city category for neutralizing six persons of interest and arresting 38 drug pushers.

Also, Mariveles Municipal Police Station (MPS) in Bataan under MPS Class A level was cited for neutralizing three persons of interest and arresting 40 drug pushers; Subic Municipal Police Station in Zambales under MPS Class B level for neutralizing three persons of interest and arresting 46 drug pushers; and Abucay Municipal Police Station in Bataan under the MPS Class C level for neutralizing two persons of interest and arresting 10 drug pushers.

Other unit awardees were Aurora Provincial Public Safety Company as Best Provincial Public Safety Company, Olongapo City Public Safety Company as Best City Public Safety Company, Regional Health Service III as Best Regional Administrative Support Unit, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group Region 3 as Best Regional Operational Support Unit, and Nueva Ecija Police Provincial Office who received the Recognition for the Best RSOTG (Election Watchlist Areas). Moreover, individual awardees were PSSupt. Rhodel Sermonia as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Administration, PSupt. Arwin Tadeo as Best Senior Police Commissioned Officer for Operations, PCinsp. Michael Masangkay as Best Junior Police Commissioned Officer, SP01 Mahy Rubio as Best Senior Police Non-Commissioned Officer, P02 Jonathan Robles as Best Junior Police Non-Commissioned Officer, NUP Arnold Adriosula as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (Supervisory Level), and NUP Homer Jeffrey Banayos as Best Non-Uniformed Personnel (Non-Supervisory Level).

Aside from this, four cops received the "Medalya ng Sugatang Magiting" namely PSupt. Jean Fajardo, PO3 Bonifacio Corpuz, PO1 Rey Anthony Cristobal, and PO1 John Christian Solano. For the Regional Human Rights Affairs Office 3 Category, awardees were Governor Albert Garcia of Bataan, Governor Lilia Pineda of Pampanga, Vice-Governor Dennis Pineda of Pampanga, Mayor Annette Balgan of Macabebe town in Pampanga, Erwin Dizon of St. Peter Calungsod, and Christian Ministry Fellowship of Guagua, Pampanga.

Also included in the awards list were ABS-CBN Channel 46, Brigada News, CLTV 36, GNN 44, DZRH, UNTV-37, and Police Regional Office III Press Club.
