FUELLED by the need to address the needs of the region’s dynamic construction and design scene, events and expositions organizer Worldbex Services International remains steadfast in its commitment as it returns with the 13th instalment of PHILBEX Cebu.
PHILBEX Cebu officially opened its doors to the public yesterday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony held at the venue lobby. In attendance were Worldbex Services International’s Joseph Ang, Levi Ang, and Jill Aithnie Ang alongside esteemed guests including Cebu Investments and Promotions Office Head Benjamin Yap, who represented Gov. Hilario Davide, Vice Gov. Agnes Magpale and Herbert Buot of the Chamber of Real Estate and Builders’ Associations.
With the theme “Uniting Strong Foundations”, this year’s installment prides itself in gathering the most influential players of the region’s construction and design industry under one roof. In doing so, PHILBEX Cebu 2016 seeks to elevate the standards of the industry as it inspires ingenuity and excellence in its community.
Slated to occupy 1,158 sqm. of exhibition space with a projected visitor count of 25,000, PHILBEX Cebu 2016 is certain to not only entertain but also provide valuable insights for Cebuano homeowners, designers, architects, and industry professionals. With 100 participating companies, attendees can expect a dynamic trade show experience.
Apart from unique product and service innovations, this year’s show has other event highlights and stage activities. At the opening day, the winners of the first Projéto Design Competition were announced. An open contest for all aspiring designers, the competition sought to discover new talents and link them up with opportunities in the industry.
Cebuano design takes center stage at this year’s show. Other event highlights include the Interior Designers Gallery, where attendees can marvel at the latest furniture designs. Over at the Architect’s Gallery is the City of Tomorrow exhibition, a scale model metropolis of tomorrow’s urban landscape. Visitors can take a closer look at some of the state-of-the-art building and construction innovations in the market at the Worldbex Lab and the Furniture Gallery, presented by Murillo Furniture. (PR)
