Prepare JOs’ payroll on time, Capitol-owned hospitals told

NEGROS Occidental Acting Provincial Administrator Leo Eusebio said Monday Capitol-run hospitals have been reminded to prepare the payrolls of their job order (JO) employees on time.

“We have to pay them (on time) because they have rendered a service,” he added.

The salaries of the JO workers from January to June this year have been delayed, but their July and August pay have already been released, Eusebio said.

“There should be no delays in salaries. There is already an appropriation for that,” he said.

Based on the Capitol salary rates, JOs or utility workers are receiving P328 per day while those in clerical and professional technical services get P388 and P447 per day, respectively.

The Provincial Government rehired most of the 213 JOs in the Capitol-run hospitals.

The JO workers will continue to serve the provincial government until December 31 this year.

Of the 213 hospital workers, 60 are working at Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital in Silay City.

Cadiz District Hospital in Cadiz City has 28 JO workers, Calatrava Municipal Hospital in Calatrava, 10, Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial Hospital in La Carlota City, 12, Dr. Vicente Gustilo District Hospital in Escalante City, 21, Eleuterio T. Decena Memorial Hospital in Hinobaan, 3, Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital in Himamaylan City, 16, Ignacio L. Arroyo Sr. Memorial District Hospital in Isabela, 31, Lorenzo D.
