6 Cebuanos top teacher's licensure exam

CEBU -- Six graduates from the province made it to the top 10 passers in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) held in January this year.

In the elementary level, Pauly Mariz Tampon Recio of the Cebu Normal University and Rica Alessandra delos Reyes Young of the Cebu Technological University shared the fifth spot, with a rating of 87 percent.

Mary Kenth Ababao Aceret and Jasson Simborio Singculan, both of the University of Cebu, also shared the eighth spot with a rating of 86.40 percent.

Kristine Myrene Rose Lado Sayre of the University of the Visayas ranked ninth with 86.20 percent.

In the secondary level, Carla Mae Limpag Sumalinog, a graduate of the University of San Carlos, landed in the tenth spot with a rating of 86.20 percent.

The Professional Regulation Commission, in its official announcement released on Saturday, said that of the 38,377 examinees in the elementary level, only 11,120 or 28.98 percent passed.

In the secondary level, meanwhile, 12,033 or 28.41 percent of the 42,358 examinees passed.
