THE Bacolod City government hosted the roadshow of Western Visayas Regional Development Plan (WVRDP) for 2017-2022, spearheaded by the National Economic and Development Authority (Neda)-Western Visayas Friday, July 6.

This was part of Neda’s efforts to promote the implementation of the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) which is a medium-term plan adopting the Duterte administration’s 0-10 point socio-economic agenda and sustainable development goals geared towards a long-term vision for the country.

Neda-Western Visayas assistant regional director Engr. Gilberto Altura was among the resource speakers of the event.

Bacolod City Administrator Atty. John Orola represented the City Government, with George Zulueta, vice chairman of the City Development Council.

The event was also attended by Bacolod City government department and office heads, barangay officials, and representatives of non-government organizations, private sector, business, and the academe.

RDP focuses on the development challenges of the region by identifying strategies to attain specific goals, specifically targeting the macro-economy and governance, social, economic and infrastructure in Western Visayas. (PR)
