A MINOR reshuffling at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) was implemented by director Police Colonel Joeresty Coronica, effective Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

Coronica said they conducted the turnover and assumption of duties and responsibilities of some station commanders and unit heads at the BCPO Conference Room, Magsaysay Avenue, Bacolod City, on Wednesday.

The affected officials include Police Station 4 commander Major Elmer Bonilla, who was reassigned to head the Traffic Enforcement Unit. Bonilla’s post was taken over by Police Station 5 commander Major Marc Joeil Reclamado.

Reclamado’s post was assumed by Captain Hazel Oropel, deputy force commander of the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company (BCMFC).

Lieutenant Rowena Jean Magan, officer-in-charge of the Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD), was also reassigned as deputy commander of Police Station 10.

Magan’s post was filled by Captain Liberty Indiape, a public information officer and spokesperson.

Coronica also designated Lieutenant Meller Dionio, deputy chief of the Intelligence Unit, as the new PIO of BCPO.

Coronica commended the outgoing station commanders and unit chiefs for their outstanding service and significant accomplishments, and encouraged the newly designated officers to embrace their new roles with professionalism, dedication, and integrity.

“The reassignment is aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening the overall performance of our personnel in the field. We place our people where they are most needed—where they can best contribute to the mission of ensuring peace, order, and public safety,” Coronica said.

He added that the reassignment is part of the regular placement of personnel and contributes to the enhancement of their professional careers.

Coronica noted that the minor reshuffling highlights the BCPO’s commitment to adaptive leadership and continuous improvement in its law enforcement operations, ensuring that the right personnel are in place to meet the evolving needs of the community. (MAP)
