THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized an estimated P23.8 million worth of substance believed to be shabu in separate drug busts in Bacolod City on Sunday, May 18, 2025.

The operation also led to the arrest of Jom Flynn Banquillo, 37, a resident of Country Homes Subdivision, Barangay Estefania; and Robert Delos Santos, 41, a resident of Purok 42, Bayanihan, Barangay Villamonte, both in Bacolod City.

BCPO records showed Banquillo was arrested by operatives City Drugs Enforcement Unit (CDEU) after selling a sachet of shabu to a poseur buyer in Barangay Estefania at 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

Police recovered from Banquillo’s possession five heat sealed plastic sachets and three scotch tape heat sealed plastics containing shabu weighing 2,500 grams with estimated market value of P17 million, the P8,000 marked money, and other non-drug items.

Delos Santos was also arrested by operatives of Police Station 2 in Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2, around 3:52 a.m.

Police recovered from Delos Santos’s possession nine knot tied transparent plastic bag containing shabu weighing 1,000 grams with estimated market value of P6.8 million, P3,000 marked money, P77 boodle money, and a motorcycle.

Police said the suspects are classified as high-value drug personalities in Bacolod City.

The suspects are currently detained at the custodial facility of Police Stations 2 and 4. They will be charged with violating Sections 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (MAP)
