THE Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) seized approximately P2.511 million worth of shabu during a one-week operation in Bacolod City that led to the arrest of 11 drug personalities.

BCPO records showed that from June 16 to 22, 2025, a total of 10 drug busts were conducted, resulting in the seizure of 369.397 grams of shabu valued at an estimated P2,511,899.6

All suspects have been charged with violations of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

During the same period, about three individuals with pending arrest warrants were apprehended, including one most-wanted person and two others charged with various offenses.

As part of its campaign against illegal firearms under the Philippine National Police’s Oplan Katok program, BCPO also seized one loose firearm.

Police also conducted two operations against illegal gambling, which violated Presidential Decrees 1602 and 449, leading to the arrest of five suspects and confiscation of P674 bet money.

BCPO Director Colonel Joeresty Coronica also lauded the operating units and their personnel for doing their job against all forms of criminality.

Coronica said the police should perform well to address the crime incidents and to maintain the peace and order in the city. (MAP)
