
THE Bacolod City Government has released a total of 650 replacements of food vouchers for the tenants of Manokan Country who have already relocated to their temporary spaces at the SM City terminal hub.
Councilor Celia Matea Flor, chairperson of the City Council’s Committee on Markets, said of 3,004 food vouchers that were earlier released by the city, 650 of it were unclaimed.
She said Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez, who earlier allocated P500,000 worth of food vouchers, agreed to provide a replacement for the unclaimed food vouchers.
She added the food vouchers were released on Monday, March 24, and it will valid until March 27.
Flor noted that the food vouchers worth P150 each should be claimed on the specific store.
She said it was the initiative of Mayor Benitez of providing P500,000 worth of food vouchers for the tenants of Manokan Country.
On October 20, 2023, the City Government of Bacolod signed a contract agreement with SM Prime for the redevelopment of the iconic Manokan Country.
The SM Prime already turned over P131.89 million to the City Government for the redevelopment of the iconic Manokan Country. (MAP)
