EIGHTY-NINE applicants have qualified for the job vacancies offered by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental - North.
These applicants took the examination at the agency's Provincial Office in Bacolod City last week.
Of the number, 84 applied for the Agrarian Reform Program Technologist (Salary Grade 10) position with nine available vacancies.
The five others are applying for the surveyman (Salary Grade 6) position. The agency has one slot open.
DAR-Negros Occidental I Officer-In-Charge Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Teresita Mabunay, in a statement, said as the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) pandemic continues, more people are losing their jobs.
"May these job vacancies offered by the DAR give hope to those who want to earn a living and aspire to serve their fellow Filipinos," she added.
To qualify for the examination, the applicants were required to submit documents at the DAR-Negros Occidental I.
These included certificate of eligibility, personal data sheet, transcript of records, training certificates and performance rating.
Applicants who will pass the examination will then undergo an interview. The schedule of which has yet to be announced.
Meanwhile, the Engineer II (Salary Grade 16) position also remains vacant.
DAR-Negros Occidental said it will be reopened for applicants. As to when, it will also be announced by the agency. (EPN)
