THE Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Negros Occidental–North, through the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (Carp), has installed 22 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Victorias City.
The agency awarded 35.6250-hectare landholding formerly owned by Josefa Gonzaga and other individuals located at Barangay 8 in the northern Negros Occidental locality.
Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer Elson Mabunay, who led the installation rites on Wednesday, October 3, said Carp has remained true its vision and mission to uphold social justice and poverty alleviation.
For 30 years now since its creation in 1988, the program continues to uphold reform in the agriculture sector through land distribution and provision of support services to farmer-beneficiaries, he added.
