CHMSC, TUP ink partnership

THE Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and Technological University (CHMSC) of the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) in a ceremony held on July 16, 2021, at the Function Hall, Green Building, CHMSC Talisay Campus.

The MOU of CHMSC and TUP is to promote friendship, cooperation, and advance their shared vision and common goals. As stated in the MOU, there will be exchanging of academic information, publications, and expertise. Also, conducting joint research, extension and community development, advocacy, and training. Providing internship, on-the-job training, and professional development opportunities were also declared.

In a welcome remark, CHMSC Director for External Affairs Rhoderick K. Samonte said this pandemic is not only to strengthen friendship but also to strengthen ties. He also welcomed with warmth and grace all officials who attended the ceremony.

Signing the Memorandum of Understanding were CHMSC President Norberto P. Mangulabnan and TUP President Jesus Rodrigo F. Torres, and witnesses Rhoderick K. Samonte and Eric Malo-oy, MT, TUP Visayas Campus director.

Also present in the ceremony were CHMSC Vice President for Academic Affairs Jay B. Estrellas, College of Industrial Technology Dean Engr. Russel M. Dela Torre, Human Resource Management Officer Viola D. Mongcal, Research and Development Services Director Leah L. Fernandez, Director for Student Affairs and Services Janet P. Espinosa, and Registrar Officer of Fortune Towne Campus Rebecca Gegantoni. Also, TUP-V Accountant Celeste Delumpa, Assistant Director for Research and Extension Nelson V. Franco, TUP-V External Affairs Director Rutchel Pabalinas, Administrative Aide Officer Rene Ortega, and Ace Zander Antonio were present.

The ceremony ended with exchanging of tokens and the singing of CHMSC and TUP Hymn. (PR)
