DOT-Western Visayas issues procedures on LSI repatriation

THE Department of Tourism (DOT) in Western Visayas has issued procedures on the repatriation of locally stranded individuals (LSIs) in the region.

DOT-Western Visayas Regional Director Helen Catalbas, in an advisory, said appropriate documents must be secured by LSIs for them to be allowed for inter-region travel.

Catalbas said these include travel authority from the Philippine National Police (PNP) LSI Desk in their current location.

"Also, they need to secure medical certificates from local government health units in their current location," she added.

All LSI must also contact their home province or locality for coordination. There might be additional requirements as needed.

For returning Western Visayas residents, hotlines per province and highly-urbanized city are set up.

For Negros Occidental and Bacolod City, LSIs may contact 096557996571 and 09219493809/09209685477, respectively.
