Firm launches all-screen smartphones in Bacolod City

IN ITS bid to enable Bacoleños capture the colorful smiles especially during this MassKara Festival season, Finnish mobile phone company HMD Global, home to Nokia phones, has unveiled its new all-screen smartphones in Bacolod City.

HMD Global Philippines country manager Shannon Mead, in a media launch at Seda Capitol Central on Wednesday, October 10, said the company is announcing the availability of the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus starting October 29 this year.

Mead said people look for something new every day so the company is making sure to deliver the latest mobile innovation.

“We strive to give costumers more than what they need at a price point that is accessible to them,” he said, adding that “at HMD Global, we bring accessible technology that elevates human experiences of connecting with one another and of creating stories to remember.”

These smartphones introduce the popular all-screen design, high-end performance and smart AI imaging features with pure, secure and up-to-date Android One experience.

The firm said combining contemporary smartphone functions with an immersive all-screen design, the Nokia 6.1 Plus packs smart storytelling features and a display perfect for watching videos, messaging friends and catching up social feeds.

The Nokia 5.1 Plus, meanwhile, delivers a great gaming performance and AI imaging features in an accessible and stylish package, it added.

Mead said with the company’s continuous efforts to bring the latest Nokia mobile innovation to more regions in the Philippines, they recently opened their Nokia mobile store at SM City Bacolod.

“By launching the Nokia 6.1 Plus and Nokia 5.1 Plus, we aim at providing the Nokia fans the access to reliable devices that are affordable and within their reach,” he added.

The Nokia 6.1 Plus available in gloss black, gloss white and midnight gloss blue costs P15, 990.

Its pre-sale promo starts from October 12 to 26, meaning costumers can make pre-order during this period at a discounted rate.

For Nokia 5.1 Plus, which is also available in three colors, has a retail price of P12, 990.

It will be available among Nokia mobile authorized online resellers on October 29 and will be out in stores on November 12.

For the entire country, the firm will make some 1,000 units available for pre-order.
