THE Board of Directors of the Rural Transit Mindanao Inc. (RTMI) have re-appointed Leo Rey Yanson (LRY) as chairman and president of the firm during their organizational meeting Wednesday, February 10, 2021.

RTMI is one of the subsidiaries of the Yanson Group of Bus Companies (YGBC), the largest bus conglomerate in the country.

The Yanson matriarch, Olivia V. Yanson (OVY), was re-appointed as RTMI’s corporate secretary and treasurer.

The controlling camp, in a statement, said despite proper and timely notice, stockholders Roy V. Yanson, Ricardo V. Yanson Jr., Ma. Lourdes Celina Y. Lopez , Ma. Susan F. Yanson, and Juan Manuel Lopez were absent despite prior notice.

LRY assured the public that despite the challenges faced last year, RTMI remains strong and resilient.

“It continues to be steadfast in its goal to serve the Filipino people,” he said, adding that “RTMI remains committed to providing the riding public with the most reliable means of public transportation for all.”

Prior to the organization meeting, the annual stockholders’ meeting was also conducted where LRY, OVY, Charles Dumancas, Rey Ardo, Anita Chua and Daniel Nicolas Golez were re-elected as members of RTMI’s Board of Directors.

“The newly appointed Board is excited to see how they can continue to push boundaries to provide quality transportation to every Filipino despite the challenges of the pandemic,” the statement added.
