Dominguez link to 'Baywalk' member slay not established

MANILA -- The involvement of alleged carjacking mastermind Raymond Dominguez to the murder of a "Baywalk Bodies" member has not yet been established, police said.

Central Luzon Regional Director Allan Purisima said they still have no evidence that could pin Dominguez in the murder of Rejoice Rivera, or Anne Marie Santos in real life.

Rivera was found dead last January 1 along the North Luzon Expressway. She had a bullet wound in the head.

Purisima said although several people have claimed that Rivera was seen along with Dominguez hours before the Baywalk Bodies member was killed, no strong evidence could say that the car dealer was involved in the crime.

The police, however, assured that they will continue to investigate Rivera's murder, and will dig into other cases of Dominguez.

Dominguez voluntarily turned himself over to the Bulacan police Saturday night after he was into the killing of car dealer Venson Evangelista and Emerson Lozano. [See: Carjack-slay 'mastermind' seeks police custody]

Evangelista and Lozano were found dead last January 14. Their bodies were burned. (Sunnex)
