150 farmers finish rice production certification, farm mechanization

A total of 150 farmers graduated from the Farmer’s Field School on Production of High-Quality Inbred Rice and Seed Certification and Farm Mechanization, in Brgy. Abuanan, Bago City, recently.

The Abanse Negrense Farm School is spearheaded by the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist headed by OIC Dr. Dina Genzola, in collaboration with the Bago City Agriculture Office.

Gov. Bong Lacson attended the farmers’ graduation ceremony held last Sept. 5, and thanked the farmers for their valuable contribution to the food Security and Agricultural Productivity Development Agenda of the provincial government.

He said that the introduction of mechanical farming will help the Negrense farmers boost their production at a lower cost.

He also said that more irrigation projects are in place in various towns and cities of the province for the benefit of the farmers. (PR)
