Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson recognized the accomplishments of the Negros Occ. Estefania, Bacolod City, Aug. 11.

The governor lauded NOCPPO for being a recipient of the Best Provincial Police Office Award given during the Police Service Anniversary Celebration at Camp Crame in Quezon City last Tuesday, Aug. 8.

Deserving PNP personnel were also given awards as part of the program.

NOCPPO also gave recognition to Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz, Local Chief Executives, stakeholders, and private individuals for their support and contributions to the peace and order programs of NOCPPO.

Gov. Lacson thanked the PNP personnel for their selfless and courageous service, especially when faced with danger as a consequence of law enforcement.

He said that he will always support the PNP’s good cause for a peaceful and more progressive Negros Occidental.

“Police work requires a great balancing act between law enforcement and the preservation of liberty. It is for this reason that I urge all of you to be not just legal troops but to be moral troops as well,” said Lacson.

Meanwhile, the Victorias City Police Station, headed by Chief of Police PLTCOL Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez, was awarded as the Best Unit in Most Number of Operations on Anti-Illegal Gambling (City Level), while PSSg Diore Raymund Paguntalan named as the Best Junior PNCO for Operations in Negros Occidental.
