Sipalay continues ecotourism resource mapping

The Sipalay City local government unit continues the resource mapping of various cultural, tourism, and biodiversity assets as part of the Omas Forest Protected Area and Huyop-huyop Waterfalls Community-based Ecotourism Development Project l in Sitio Omas, Brgy. Camindangan.

The mapping team was composed of city government offices like City Tourism Development and Promotion Office, City Environment and Natural Resources Office, City Information Office, and City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Officem during the resource mapping last Aug. 8.

The Brgy. Camindangan Active Farmers Association, Inc. (BCAFASI) and Brgy. Council of Brgy. Camindangan also joined the assessment activity.

This is part of the programs and initiatives of the city government under Mayor Maria Gina Lizares to develop more ecotourism sites in the city and empower communities as partners for tourism development. (PR)
