Sipalay trains child dev’t workers on Nat’l Early Learning Curriculum

The Local Government Unit of Sipalay City, through its City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), in coordination with the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), is conducting a 3-day training workshop on the National Early Curriculum (NELC) at the Social Hall of the New Government Center, Sipalay City.

Some 65 child development workers (CDW) attended the training which began on Aug. 29 and will end today, Aug. 31.

The training workshop aims to equip all child development workers with relevant knowledge and skills to adopt the NELC and prepare them for the new accreditation standards.

It also aims to be geared towards advancing Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) program implementation and providing children with enhanced services and the best early learning experiences in each child development center.

Present during the training workshop are Child Development Worker/ECCD focal of PSWDO Kelly Menionuevo, Executive Assistant to the City Mayor Rita Santes, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Ivy Lynn Gallenero, and ECCD focal person Rhea Sol Moreño. (PR)
