Students of the School of Graduate Studies of STI West Negros University in Bacolod City gathered during the SGS General Assembly at the Student Activity Center of the university on Saturday, September 23.
Dr. Ryan Mark Molina, Executive Vice President of STIWNU said the crowd was only half of the total number of enrollees for Academic Year 2023-2024.
The total SGS enrolees for the academic year is 1,463 based on the latest record of the university. These students are from Bacolod and different parts of Negros.
In his speech, Dr. Molina expressed joy over the growing number of SGS enrollees every academic year and reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing relevant, inclusive and excellent quality education to learners in all levels. The School of Graduate Studies’ population increased by 22 percent compared to last academic year’s 1,197 students.
“Our aim is to produce graduates who don’t only carry those letters at the end of their names, but graduates who will be catalysts of change by being leaders of their organizations,” emphasized Molina in his speech.
Meanwhile, the officers of the School of Graduate Studies Student Council led by SGSSC President Anjel Dane Go, took their oath of office. Go presented the different projects and community extension activities the SGSSC was able to conduct in the previous academic year. (PR)
