MANILA -- Four more bodies believed to be those of Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) fighters were recovered in clearing operations in Zamboanga City.
A radio report quoted Region 9 police spokesperson Chief Inspector Ariel Huesca as saying government troops also recovered unexploded ordinances, a grenade, a 40-mm projectile, and a rifle grenade.
Huesca also said clearing operations at the city's Sector 2 is already 90 percent complete.
The reports said Sector 2 includes Barangay Sta. Barbara.
Last September, government and MNLF forces battled in Zamboanga City but government troops eventually retook MNLF-controlled areas. (JK/Sunnex)
