French national dies after falling into cliff

A 76-YEAR-OLD French national died when he fell into a cliff in Trece Martires City in Cavite on Monday, a police report said Tuesday.

The victim, Juan Linares, who is presently residing at Heritage Homes in Gregorio village in Trece Martires City, died of multiple head and body injuries.

A report from the Cavite provincial police said Linares went for a daily walk with his dog around the subdivision around 9 a.m.

During the walk, police said Linares decided to pee on a grassy part near the side of a river. However, he slid and fell on a 90-feet-high cliff of the river.

Concerned residents brought the victim to the M.V. Santiago Hospital where he was pronounced dead one and a half hours later. (VR/Sunnex)
