NEGROS Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has reaffirmed his commitment to the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (Tesda) during the 20th General Directorate Conference 2025 at Seda Hotel, Bacolod City, on March 19, 2025.
“Through skills training and development programs, Tesda has opened doors for countless Negrenses helping them find employment, start businesses, and contribute meaningfully to their families and communities,” Lacson said.
He highlighted the province’s pride in Tesda Director General Secretary Jose Francisco “Kiko” Benitez, the former 3rd District Representative of Negros Occidental, whose leadership continues to impact the province positively.
“His leadership, dedication, and vision have already contributed greatly to our province, and we are confident that the entire country will now benefit from his skills and unwavering commitment to advancing technical education and skills development,” he added.
Lacson emphasized that the Provincial Government recognizes the role of technical and vocational education in economic growth, employment, and overall quality of life improvements. / MAP
