A TOTAL of 50 mentees graduated from the Kapatid Mentor Me Program of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) recently.

The 48 mentees from Negros Occidental and 2 from Iloilo completed the 10 modules which were done thru face-to-face/ online lectures for 12 weeks.

The program is an initiative of the DTI and the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship (PCE) to help the country’s micro and small enterprises (MSEs) through coaching and mentoring on different aspects of business operations by PCE-accredited mentors.

During the graduation, a mini trade fair was also set up wherein mentees-entrepreneurs showcased their products for sale and linkages with other co-mentees.

This is the first multi-sector batch of KMME in Western Visayas, which was hosted by DTI-Negros Occidental. The mentors are also successful entrepreneurs and/or industry practitioners.

OIC Assistant Regional Director Rachel Nufable graced the event and delivered her message of support to the graduates.

DTI Undersecretary Bles Lantayona and Presidential Adviser Joey Concepcion gave inspirational messages too. The event was hosted by Business Counselor Maevin Prado Espinosa and Bong Magpayo of the Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship.
