Kabankalan wins photography contest at 23rd Provincial Tourism Week

The Province of Negros Occidental marked the Provincial Tourism Week recently.

One of the exciting events was the Photography Contest with the theme, “Undiscovered Negros.”

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer, Provincial Administrator Atty. Rayfrando Diaz and Provincial Tourism Officer Cheryl Decena led the celebration.

The winners were: 1st Place was Entry No. 6 - Kabankalan City; 2nd Place, Entry No. 4 - Silay City; 3rd Place, Entry No. 13 - Sipalay City.

The Best Tagline and the People's Choice Award was alsoEntry No. 6 - Kabankalan City.

Moreover, a Cultural Show was also held where the Districts 3 and 5 towns and cities showcased their talents and tourism advocacies in a cultural show held at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central Activity Center.

The event was attended by Department of Tourism Region VI Director, Crisanta Marlene Rodriguez, La Castellana Mayor Rhumylla Nicor-Mangilimutan, and others.
