TEACH and train the children while they are still young and eager to acquire knowledge and you will see a big difference.
Natural or acquired talents can be honed through workshops and actual performances so that their confidence in showing their talents can be applied to actual practice.
Some children and teenagers were trained in singing, acting, dancing, and public speaking in a workshop put up by the Kids ‘n more all-in-one talent headed by television host Charie Ginete-Ilon.
With the help of her other coaches Rutha Rojo for Voice, Alf Alacapa for Acting and Rodney Ascalon for Dance, the talent workshops held at La Consolacion College - Bacolod Auditorium on June 1 and Ayala Malls Capitol Central Activity Center on June 9 were successful.
Talented young kids aging 3-15 years old charmed the audience as they performed on stage, adopting a theme, “Decades: A blast of the hits from the ‘60s to the ‘90s.”
Kids ‘n more Kiddie Playshop students aging 3-5 years old appeared adorable in singing the classics like Doremi from the Sound of Music, Reflection from the movie Mulan and in their dances to the beats of Hey Mickey and The Beatle’s Twist and Shout, among many others.
On the other hand, Power Combo students aging 6-15 years old, pulled off a very entertaining show at the two venues with their hosting stint, choral recitations and declamation pieces. Fresh talents were also revealed when they sang and danced to the medleys from the 60 to the 90s.
Kids ‘n more All-in-one Talent Workshop endeavors to provide avenues for children to build self-confidence, discover, explore and enhance their talents in singing, dancing, acting and public speaking. Parents and families of students were happy to see their children shine like stars as they performed at the Grand Finale of Kids ‘n more 2019, Ginete-Ilon said.
