New Toastmasters Int’l director in Western Visayas inducted

Toastmasters International, the global organization dedicated to developing public speaking and leadership skills, celebrated a significant milestone last weekend with the Division-Wide Induction of New Members and the Installation of Officers.

The event brought together Toastmasters clubs from across the Western Visayas, creating a vibrant atmosphere of growth, camaraderie, and leadership development.

With the theme “BE INCREDIBLE,” the induction of new members showcased the ongoing commitment of individuals to improve their public speaking and leadership abilities. New members were welcomed into the Toastmasters family with enthusiasm and support from experienced members. This event marks the continued expansion of the organization, highlighting the ever-growing demand for effective communication and leadership skills in today's world.

In addition to inducting new members, the weekend event also featured the formal installation of officers for the upcoming term. Toastmasters clubs rely on dedicated leadership to guide them towards their goals, and this ceremony was an essential step in ensuring the continued success of the division's clubs. The officers took their oaths of office with a sense of duty and a shared vision of fostering a positive learning environment.

Director Mhel Enderes Sillador expressed his excitement, saying, “This occasion is a testament to our commitment to personal and professional development. We are thrilled to welcome new members into our community and to see our officers taking up their roles with passion and dedication.”

Director Mhel has been a member of First Farmers Toastmasters Club since 2005.

He has served as Division Governor back in 2010 leading the Division and President Distinguished Division and the number 1 Division in the Country.

He is also a two-time National Speech Champion of Toastmasters. In his inaugural speech that “Toastmasters is a place where we come together to conquer our fears, refine our communication skills and cultivate our leadership abilities. It is a platform where ordinary individuals can transform into extraordinary speakers, leaders and most incredible human beings.”

The ceremony included a Keynote Speech delivered by Usec. Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, the Undersecretary of Department of Information, Communication and Technology. Usec. Jocelle is a Former Division Director herself and a former National Champion in Toastmasters. The DICT Undersecretary spoke about the importance of being “able” and “credible” in the age information and communication. She shared how her 30 years journey in Toastmasters been rewarding.

The event was also attended by District 75 Director Ninio Sepulveda, Program Quality Director Josef Chiongbian, and Club Growth Director Remy Ybay. Attendees were inspired by accomplished speakers and were encouraged to explore their potential within the organization.

Toastmasters International continues to make a profound impact on individuals worldwide, empowering them to become confident communicators and leaders. The Division-Wide Induction of New Members and Installation of Officers reflects the organization's unwavering commitment to fostering personal and professional growth in a supportive and inclusive environment.
