RC of Bacolod Marapara holds 31st Induction & Turnover Rites

The Rotary Club of Bacolod Marapara currently led by President Eric Malo-oy held their 31st Induction and Turnover ceremonies at the Technological University of the Philippines (TUP) - Visayas in Talisay City on August 11.

President Malo-oy succeeded Immediate Past President Lani Ferrer who actively led the club despite the challenges of the pandemic.

It was also during her stint as a Dream President that her husband died but even though she was grieving, she redirected her time to Rotary service to help her cope with the demise of her husband.

During her Valedictory Address, she was deeply grateful that she was able to achieve meaningful projects and programs with the full support of her fellow Rotarians who backed her till the end of her term.

Her successor President Eric Malo-oy was equally driven to lead the club as his predecessor did.

Rotary International District 3850 Governor Maria Ester "Mate" Espina, District Secretary Juan Zayco - Villaluz, Assistant Governors Illa Luzuriaga Hilado, Tom Solano and Carla Cañet graced the occasion.

Negros Occidental 3rd District Rep. Jose Francisco Benitez served as the guest of honour and speaker.

Despite he is not a Rotarian, he was deeply grateful for the service the Rotarians have unfailingly provided to the community.

Furthermore, Governor Espina administered the oath of office of the RC of Bacolod Marapara Officers and Directors led by President Malo-oy.

The other Club Officers and Directors include Rotarians Virgil Rupert Villarosa, Vice President; Hendrix Lim, Club Secretary; April Mendoza, Assistant Secretary; Past President Rolando Corona, Club Treasurer and Special Projects; Rafael Catalan, Assistant Club Treasurer; Past President Michael Bantug, Director - Club Membership; Aleta Lewis, Assistant Club Membership; Past President Melvin Ibañez, Director - Rotary Foundation; Past President Robert Harland, Director - Public Image; Marco Antonio Ibañez, Director - Community Service; Francis Frederick "Derek" Palanca, Assistant Community Service, Immediate Past President Lani Ferrer, Director - New Generations; Roland Leonillo, Assistant New Generations and Internet Specialist and Remigio Montemayor, Club Trainer and Protocol Officer.

Furthermore, President Malo-oy administered the oath of membership of new Club members Rotarians Charles Amelo Ramon Lizares, Martin Gerard Lizares, Jovel Young, Analou Panganiban and Donalyn Lastima.*
