Relaxing in the confines of Balay Busay

Enjoying a place with tranquility and serenity is among the most cherished moments. I can enjoy it pleasantly. I had this lovely experience at Balay Busay in Barangay Kumaliskis, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental, where a fellow Rotarian, Joann Visitacion, welcomed me to her cool place with a perfect ambiance and scenery of a lush and verdant mountain that perfectly harmonize with the grandeur of the skies.

It is a perfect place for an al fresco ambiance. I dined and had my hot brewed coffee there, seeing at a distant sight the beautiful Malatan-og falls.

The waterfalls run through the lush green forest cover. It made my day great. The experience was great, and it was a perfect weekend getaway to commune with nature, friends, and family. It can truly relax and rejuvenate you from fulfilling your daily chores.

The ‘Kape sa Tason’ experience made me reminisce about the not-so-distant past, as my grandparents used this Tason when they drink coffee.

I also tried my hands to play some songs using a guitar, played the ‘sungka’ game, and had a Tiktok dance with a Tiktok buddy. Overall, it was nice and great.

Numerous couples had their weddings and pictorials at the Veranda of Balay Busay, with the panoramic mountains as the perfect backdrop.

The fog is also a unique come-on that shows up either early in the morning and in the afternoon. It is also a fun experience when it almost envelops the mountains and the area.

Thank you, Rotarian Joann, for your hospitality. I know that many people love to go to DSB because it is our version of ‘Baguio and Tagaytay’ in the province. Just bring your jacket when you plan to visit the place.*
