BACOLOD residents once again showed their cooperation and obedience to the appeal of the local government of Bacolod to stay home every Sunday as the city implemented its third Sunday lockdown.

Bacolodnons and the rest of the Negrenses in general have invested their time, opportunities and resources to abide by this general rule of staying home to be safe and alive.

The Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office personnel with their drone cameraman Edmund Neil Mamon have captured the aerial view of Bacolod showing deserted streets in the city.

Bacolod City Mayor Evelio R. Leonardia anchored such tremendous compliance through the unity of the residents who generally thought of the common good.

But how do some people spend their ECQ and lockdown-driven lives and how does it affect their mental and physical condition?

Artist and educator Rudy Reveche said, "I just do things that come into my mind to lessen the impact of boredom. I also clean and organize my house, do the laundry, and cap it with browsing and interacting on social media. I help motivate myself to stay positive always. The ECQ is already a seminar-workshop-rehearsal day for me. I am getting used to this abnormal new normal."

Journalist Ma. Esther "Mate" Espina is saved by Korean dramas (Kdrama).

"After this ECQ, I think I can start teaching Korean-English as an alternative job."

Government employee Lorivic Mercado said, "Kdrama is life now. We can find ways depending on what we love to do. I sometimes do physical workout and do Zumba dance over Youtube."

Broadcaster Alladin Salas said, "just think and stay positive during these trying times."

Marites Pomperada Abeto said she watches online worship service on Sunday to be blessed.

Indeed, Bacolodnons are resilient with the challenges that life brings. And I am sure most of us are looking forward to the lifting of the enhanced community quarantine, hopefully soon.
