Spend time to relax and reflect this Holy Week

THE world has become too noisy and busy, and thank God, we have a Holy Week to relax and reflect on what we need to change or improve insofar as our spiritual life is concerned.

The Holy Week is vital and a tradition to Filipinos, where we become more religious as we cease from doing our usual chores.

Many people leave their homes to go on a vacation with family and friends in various destinations here and abroad.

White sand beaches and mountain resorts are always at the top of their list.

For those who want to travel long distances, they choose the premier Boracay Island in Malay, Aklan.

Premier beaches in Negros Occidental are also found in Cauayan, Sipalay, and Hinobaan in southern Negros, and beaches in Sagay City, Escalante, and San Carlos City are also destinations to choose from.

But I prefer a place with a cool and serene ambiance.

I don't need to go to a crowded place. It's enough for me to have a serene environment where these flocks of sheep gather peacefully.

These colorful and lonely birds, who likewise enjoy the ambience of their cage, is a sight quite relaxing to see.

The Duyan, "native swing," facing the woodland, makes you fall asleep.

And this huge rock housed inside this bamboo-made cottage is picturesque.

Thanks to Miss Norma Zayco for allowing me to come inside her beautiful Red Barn in Lantawan, Silay City.

And for Architect Cris Laino for leading me to this beautiful place.
