It is the first time that Sunstar Bacolod has welcomed the Amity Volunteer Dragon team to perform a dragon dance at the SSB office located at the VSB Building, 6th Lacson Street, Bacolod City.
AMITY Club Corporate Secretary Crispin Chua and this writer coordinated to hold this activity at the SSB office to welcome new opportunities this 2023.
The purpose was first to experience the performance of a dragon dance at the SSB office, which we aimed to help ward off the bad and activate the good in the performance of the SSB’s media practice and strengthening its business opportunities this year.
We all wished for prosperity, good luck, good business, and the realization of a meaningful mission of Sunstar Bacolod to the community served through news and information.
SunStar Bacolod is starting fresh this year with the re-entry of Editor-in-Chief (EIC) Marchel Espina and installation of Associate Editor Hezron Pios, who equally shared the paper's mission to uphold general welfare as well as healthy business relations among its clients and good working relations among the SSB officials and the employees.
The excellent and healthy collaboration of the editorial and business led by Leilanie Kho and her team and the editorial team led by EIC Espina and Assoc Ed Pios will help the paper achieve its goals for 2023 under the Presidency of Gahum Vincent Garcia.

The SSB extended its gratitude to the Amity Volunteer Dragon Team and Amity Volunteer Fire Brigade officials for also performing a mission to help the community in times of distress and emergency.
