THIS has been undeniably a tormenting year for everyone, with just about everything we deduced as being "normal" being thrown out the window owing to the Covid-19 pandemic. The fashion industry felt the impact of the pandemic in a big way: from retail store closures to fashion events cancellations and an alteration of public opinion regarding the traditional fashion setup. Despite cancellation of almost everything physical, we really have to press onwards.

The Blackout Models will be staging a runway show, but not as we've come to know it. The owner and creative director of The Blackout Model -- Joy Pauline Bangero -- said, "We just need to get a little creative in the virtual realm. I guess we'll just have to adapt and make the most out of everything that's given to us. Let's take virtual runway shows to new heights."

The Virtual Runway Show featuring The Tulle Collections and some fancy facemasks will be on the 12th of December 2020. It will be streaming on Facebook, YouTube and other media platforms. Bangero added, "The great thing about our current predicament is that it emphasizes that we are no longer limited to our physicality. Our online modeling classes are ongoing for various cities. Plus, The Blackout Models is now open for enrollment in Guimaras, Boracay and Davao, and soon in the Luzon Region."

With the world seemingly experiencing birthpains, we just have to make the most out of our situation. They say that if God gives you lemons, you have to make a lemonade, and if God gives you apples, you have to make an apple pie.
