13 Negros Occidental, Bacolod cops test positive for coronavirus

ELEVEN policemen assigned at the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Noccpo) and two others at the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) have tested positive for coronavirus.

Reports from the Philippine National Police (PNP) Health Service showed that coronavirus-positive police personnel in Western Visayas are now at 93, with four more testing positive last January 30, 2022.

Other police units with active cases include National Support Units - 18; Antique Police Provincial Office -12; Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB) and Police Regional Office headquarters - 10 each; Aklan Provincial Police Office - eight; Iloilo City Police Office and Iloilo Provincial Police Office - seven each; and Capiz and Guimaras Provincial Police Office - three each.

Of the total number of policemen infected with the virus, 93 are symptomatic, while 52 showed no symptoms.

Four new cases were recorded at Noccpo, BCPO, Iloilo Provincial Police Office, Aklan Provincial Police Office and RMFB-Western Visayas, while the PNP Health Service reported four recoveries.
