A CONSTRUCTION worker died after he touched the GI pipe electrical post at a construction site in Purok Isla, Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City Monday morning, December 28, 2020.
Police identified the fatality as Marjune Abreo of Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Police Major Charles Gever, chief of Police Station 4, said the victim was found lifeless by his co-worker around 7:18 a.m.
He said the victim was walking towards his barracks when he accidentally touched the GI pipe electrical post. He was electrocuted and died on the spot.
Moreover, a 12-year-old boy also died after he hung off at the mainline of electric power at Hi Strip Building in Barangay Villamonte, Bacolod City Sunday evening.
Gever said the victim, name withheld for being a minor, climbed at the rooftop of Hi Strip and accidentally hung off at the mainline of electric power in the area around 9:52 p.m.
He said the victim fell on the ground and brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital but did not survive.
