AN OMAN national and a resident of Hinigaran were found murdered in two separate incidents Tuesday morning, May 18, 2021.

The Oman national, identified as Ahmed Haj, 34, of Regent Pearl Homes Subdivision, Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, was found dead in a vacant lot on Palanca Street, Barangay 18.

Police Lieutenant Andy Ofalia, deputy chief of Police Station 2, said the lifeless body of the victim was found by a concerned citizen around 7:40 a.m.

His body was identified by the brother of his live-in partner.

The victim sustained gunshot wounds on his left chest and upper right portion of his back.

Ofalia said they only recovered P150 cash from the pocket of the victim.

They believed that the victim was killed in another area and was only dumped on Palanca Street.

He said they are still conducting further investigation to identify the killers and to determine the motive in the killing of the victim.

Meanwhile, another salvage victim from Hinigaran was found in Murcia.

Police Captain Jerald Muya, chief of Murcia Police Station, said the body of Archie Aguirre, 31, of Crossing Cambaug, Hinigaran, was found inside a sugarcane plantation in Hacienda Rojas, Barangay Blumentrit, Murcia.

The victim, Muya said, suffered gunshot wounds on his head and other parts of the body.

Recovered from the crime scene were eight empty shells of caliber .22 and slugs of an undetermined firearm.

Muya said that based on initial police investigation, the victim was shot inside the sugarcane plantation, which is far from the residents' houses in the area.

The victim was identified based on the driver's license recovered from his body.

Further investigation is being conducted to identify the persons behind the killing, Muya said.
