TWO persons were killed in separate shooting incidents by still unidentified suspects who were wearing mask.
The first incident happened Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Dos Hermanos Street, Barangay III, San Carlos City.
The victim was identified as Mark Roben Dejos, 26 years old, and a resident of the same place.
Based on the statement of his live-in partner, the victim was resting inside his room, when two unidentified suspects hastily get inside their house and asked the name of the victim and then upon answering the question, the suspects who were wearing mask shot the victim three times while he was lying on the bed hitting him on the head and neck.
The suspects fled on a single motorcycle without plate number after the shooting.
The victim was immediately brought to San Carlos Doctors’ Hospital for medical treatment but was pronounced dead on arrival by the attending physician.
Meanwhile, Rene Sumadhay alias 'Rene Boy', 41 years old, was also shot dead in Sitio Pacita, Barangay Sag-ang, La Castellana Saturday by unidentified suspect.
Police investigation revealed that the victim was from La Castellana proper and on his way home riding his motorcycle but upon reaching the proper Sitio Pacita, Barangay Sag-ang the victim alighted the tricycle when two unidentified persons riding on a motorcycle came from unknown direction, one of them drew a gun pointing into the head of victim and shot him once. The victim fell on the ground and the suspect shot him again four times causing the victim’s death.
The two unidentified suspects immediately escaped.
According to the witness, the two suspects were wearing ball caps, face masks, white t-shirt and short pants and were riding a black motorcycle.
Authorities recovered from the crime scene five fired cartridges of 9mm caliber.
The body of the victim was immediately brought to Rural Health Unit but was declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.
The body was later transferred to Nalagon Funeral Homes for post mortem examination.
