TWO men were injured after they were shot by an unidentified assailant inside a Pisonet Shop at Purok Sigay in Barangay 2, Bacolod City at about 4 a.m. yesterday, November 28.
Police identified the victims as Ramy Araiz, 27; and his friend Michael Yasas, of legal age, both residents of the said village.
Corporal Rustum Sasyon, investigator of Police Station 2, said Araiz was playing a computer game when the suspect, who was wearing a facemask, barged in and shot him and fled.
He said Yasas, who was sleeping inside the shop, was also hit by the bullets.
Araiz sustained a gunshot wound on his right armpit while Yasas on his right leg.
The victims were brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. They are now in stable condition.

Sayson said they are eyeing a grudge as a possible motive in the incident.
He said they are still conducting further investigation to determine the identity of the suspect.
Meanwhile, operatives of Police Station 1 in Bacolod City already have a person of interest in the killing of a former inmate at Purok Kingfisher, Barangay 16, on November 25.
Major Ramel Sarona, commander of Police Station 1, said yesterday they already have the name of the gunman while the investigation is ongoing to determine who is the mastermind behind the killing.
On November 25, John Luceño, 31, a resident of Purok Malipayon in the city’s Barangay 35, was sitting in a pedicab when the suspect arrived on a motorcycle, alighted, stopped by the victim’s side and shot him before fleeing.
The victim sustained a gunshot wound behind his head and died on the spot.

Sarona said Luceño was imprisoned for the crime of robbery and was released in 2021.
He said the victim was involved in several robbery and theft incidents in various barangays in the city.
The victim was also reportedly involved in illegal gambling, the police official said.
Sarona said they determined that Luceño, who was included on their drugs watchlists, sold alum powder or tawas, a deodorant, instead of shabu and on top of that, he reportedly failed to pay his debt with his supplier, too.
