2 Negros Occidental OFWs test positive for coronavirus

TWO repatriated overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) in Negros Occidental tested positive for the new virus that causes the coronavirus diseases (Covid-19).

Patient Number 23 for Negros Occidental is a 35-year-old male repatriated seafarer who is a resident of Binalbagan.

He arrived in Manila on June 3 and in Negros Occidental on June 8 via 2Go Malasakit voyage. He was found positive for coronavirus in the first swab test while on vessel on April 28 and was tested negative on May 17-18 in the United States of America.

He was tested for the third time on June 5 and was negative again. On June 11, he was swabbed again for the fourth time and his result came out positive Tuesday, June 16.

He is currently housed in a quarantine facility and is asymptomatic.

Patient number 24 is a 46-year-old male who is a resident of San Carlos City.

He arrived in Clark on June 6 and in Negros Occidental on June 8 via a sweeper flight. He was swabbed on June 11 and his positive result also came out Tuesday, June 16. He is also asymptomatic and is currently staying in a quarantine facility.
