3 minors, 3 siblings nabbed for deadly weapons

A TOTAL of six persons, including three minors, were arrested for illegal possession of a bladed weapon and improvised guns at Barangay Handumanan in Bacolod City early Tuesday morning, May 29.

Police identified the suspects as siblings Reymar Costan, 24; Remegio Costan, 21; Reymark Costan, 18, all residents of the said village, while the names of the three minors were withheld by the police.

Police seized from them an improvised firearm locally known as "sulpak" loaded with 12 gauge shotgun, three improvised guns known as pen guns, assorted live ammunition, and a knife.

Personnel of Police Station 10 caught the suspects, who were known in the village as "Pamilya 45," carrying the said weapons on the streets past 1 a.m.

Charges for illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, as well as illegal possession of a deadly weapon, are being readied against the three adult-suspects.
