400 Kiwanis members attend convention

MORE than 400 officers and members of the Kiwanis International Philippine South District are attending their 43rd Annual District Convention at the L’Fisher Hotel from September 12 to 15.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia keynoted the second day of the convention, with the theme, “Eye of the Tiger: Leading by Example.”

On the second day, the delegates, who came from Visayas and Mindanao, were in “Gods and Goddesses” costumes.

“Having seen you like this, when I came in I saw the enthusiasm. If there is no enthusiasm I don’t think you would have dared to come as you look now. Enthusiasm can be generated when you have that sense of participation, sense of belonging, and a sense of commitment in Kiwanis. So even for that alone, I can say that this assembly is already a success,” the mayor said.

Representative Greg Gasataya keynoted their third day where they came in Safari attire. Today, they will come in Great Gatsby look. (PR)
