556 LSIs from Cebu arrive in Negros Occidental

FIVE hundred fifty-six locally stranded individuals (LSIs) originating from Tabuelan, Cebu arrived in Negros Occidental Monday night, August 24.

Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) Negros Occidental chief Lieutenant Commander Jansen Benjamin said 42 service vehicles from different local government units in Negros Occidental, as well as the PCG's own bus were loaded into roll-on/roll-off vessels in Escalante City.

Once in Cebu, the buses picked up the LSIs and returned back to the Negros-bound vessels.

Benjamin added that upon the arrival of the LSIs, they were immediately subjected to the health protocols imposed by the Provincial Government, such as requiring them to undergo swab testing and placing them on a 14-day quarantine in their respective LGU facilities.
