A TOTAL of 59 persons donated blood during the bloodletting activity of DyEZ Aksyon Radyo Bacolod at Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center (Nompac) in Bacolod City Friday, August 24.
Aksyon Radyo Bacolod station manager Nona Demaala-Magbanua said that 123 persons joined the activity but only 59 successfully passed the screening.
About 26,550 ccs of blood were donated during the annual “Dugo Mo, Kabuhi Ko: Bloodletting Activity” of the radio station.
Demaala-Magbanua said the radio station believes that with this activity, they may be able to help and save more lives.
In this regard, we are thankful to the continued support of our partners in fulfilling our mission of true public service, she added.
As Aksyon Radyo Bacolod celebrates its 49th year of quality radio broadcasting, the success of this activity speaks of the value of the station to the people's heart, she also said.
Last week, the radio station also catered 788 persons during their medical mission held at the Bacolod Arts, Youth, and Sports (Bays) Center. (PR)
