A 6-MONTH-OLD baby girl died after she fell into a big plastic bucket filled with water at Amelia Street, Barangay 40 in Bacolod City on Monday morning, June 17.
Police Captain Elmer Bonilla, chief of Police Station 6, said that the victim, whose name is being withheld for being a minor, drowned in a plastic bucket filled with water.
Investigation showed that while the victim’s parents, both a vegetable vendors at Libertad Public Market, were sleeping in their stall, they noticed that their baby was no longer on their side.
Bonilla said the parents found the baby inside the plastic bucket filled with water.
The victim was brought to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital, but she did not survive.
The police said there’s a possibility that the baby crawled until she fell into the bucket.
