7 police stations awarded

BACOLOD. SEVEN police stations in Negros Occidental were awarded for their various accomplishments in the campaign against criminalities and illegal activities, as well as for their good deeds.

The awarding ceremony was led by Senior Superintendent Rodolfo Castil Jr., director of Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo), and Wilfred Ramon Peñalosa, head of Provincial Environment Management Office (Pemo), who represented the provincial government at the headquarters in Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Barangay Estefania on Monday, August 13.

San Carlos City Police Station was recognized as top performing city police station in the campaign against illegal drugs and wanted persons.

Hinoba-an Municipal Police Station was acknowledged as top performing municipal police station in the campaign against wanted persons.

Silay City and Binalbagan Municipal Police Stations were awarded for being best city and municipal police stations in the campaign against illegal gambling.

Kabankalan City and Hinigaran Municipal Police Stations topped other police stations in the campaign against loose firearms.

Police stations in Valladolid and Hinigaran were commended for their commendable acts.

Nocppo also recognized the efforts of Task Force Ilahas and Task Force Lawod against illegal logging and illegal fishing in the province. They were given Pagkilala Award.

Certificates of recognition were also given to Senior Police Officer 2 Brayan Tamon and non-uniformed personnel Ronald Navoa.

The provincial headquarters also recognized retirees – Senior Police Officer 1 (SPO1) Raul Guavez, SPO3 Joel Camarines, and SPO4 Nelson Vargas from police stations in Bago, Kabankalan, and Pulupandan, respectively. (GYM/SunStar Bacolod)
