OVER 7,000 vacancies await jobseekers in the PESO Bacolod Job Fair at SM City Bacolod main atrium, May 5 to 6.
Organized by the city government through the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) and the Department of Labor and Employment, a total of 60 international and local companies are expected to join the career expo.
Five international placement companies search for licensed and skilled professionals in the fields of construction, healthcare, auto mechanics, hospitality, among others.
Meanwhile, 55 companies and institutions in Bacolod and nationwide are also hiring, including Negros Grace Pharmacy, Asialink Finance, Amaia Land, Outdoormaster, Toyota, San Miguel Brewery, STI West Negros University, Asia Bewery, Victorias Milling Company, Juanity Kings & Sons, Finlinvest, Lopez Sugar Corp, and Disteleria Bago.
The Philippines Army is also looking for applicants fill in their intelligence officer, lead special operations, army aviator, human resource officer, finance officer, logistics officer posts, among others.
Call centers business process outsourcing firms such as Panasiatic, Slide Genius, Ubiquity, Concentrix, Teleperformance, Pathcutters, Xilium, Iqor, Spring Valley Tech Corp, Bacolod Global Strategic, and TAS Tradesoft are also looking for employees.
Positions in the hospitality, healthcare and service industry are also open in L’Fisher Hotel, Ribshack Grill, YLS Manpower, Supervalue, CM & Sons Food Products, Sta Monica Healthcare Solutions, Vallacar Transit, KJ Fairmart, Riverside Medical Center, Artecy Manpower, and Davao Manpower.
Bombo Radyo also opens its newsroom for news writers and reports, while STI West Negros University searches for instructors in various courses in its basic education and tertiary programs.
Synergy Sales, Upward Agro Industrial Corp, FWZ Land, Macro Distributors, Gotham Books, Scheirman Construction, Homeworld Construction, GC & C, Everkeen Marketing, Homecredit Philippines, Falcor Marketing, PD 888 Distributors, FGC+, Bacolod Real Estate Development, Admiral Credit, and Negros Autozone are also looking for personnel.
Earlier this month, PESO Bacolod also held a jobfair at Robinsons Place Bacolod where over 6,700 positions were open for jobseekers from Bacolod and the province. (KBC)
