83 ARBs get 56-hectare farmlands in Escalante

SOME 83 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Escalante City were installed as new owners to a combined 56.27 hectares of farmlands in two barangay this May.

In a report by the Department of Agrarian Reform Negros Occidental 1 (North), 21 farmers received over 11 hectares of land situated in Brgy. Mabini last May 23.

“DAR shall provide you with the necessary support services you’ll need,” said Engr. Marco Blanca, Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO).

On May 12, 41 farmers received their certificated to own over 21 hectares of land at Brgy. Dian-ay which was previously managed by Greenfield Corporation.

MARPO Rainet Sancho also congratulated the ARBs for their hard work. She said, “May this help you and your family. Keep cultivating and nurturing the lands you now

own.”

Also in the same barangay, 21 farmers got the owner’s duplicate copy of their CLOAs for a total of 39 hectare of landholdings on May 9.

DAR Negros Occ. 1 also continued its pursuit to validate landholding including a 21.6208-hectare land previously owned by the Philippine Veterans Bank located at

Brgy. Binaguiohan earlier this month, the report said.
